Prof. Navadol Laosiripojana received the B.Eng. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology, Imperial College London (UK) in 2003. Dr. Navadol started his work at the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. His research interests related to the production of several alternative fuels i.e. synthesis gas, hydrogen, Gas-to-Liquid (GTL), Dimethyl Ether (DME), Biomass-to-Liquid (BTL) and biodiesel from available feedstock in Thailand by focusing on the development and testing of several nanoscale catalysts i.e. ceria-based catalysts toward various reactions i.e. reforming with steam, carbon dioxide, and air, Fischer-Tropsch (FT), dehydration, and esterification reactions. During the year 2004-2012, Dr. Navadol has published more than 90 articles in international journals. His research rewards include Young researcher award (from the Thailand Research Fund; year 2005); Young scientist award (from the Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Technology under Patronage of His Majesty the King; year 2007); Finalist for ASEAN young scientist and technologist award (from ASEAN National Committee on Science & Technology; year 2008); PTIT scholar award (from Petroleum Institute of Thailand; year 2008); Mid-researcher career award (from the Thailand Research Fund; year 2008); and the TRF-CHE-Scopus Researcher Award in Engineering and Multidisciplinary Category (from the Thailand Research Fund (TRF), Commission on Higher Education (CHE) and Scopus; year 2010).
