Dr. Anchalee Manonukul received her B.Eng. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) and the award for the best achievement in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1995. In 1996, she received the certificate of post-graduate study for the Advanced Course in Design, Manufacturing and Management from the University of Cambridge. In 1999, she received her D.Phil. in Engineering Science (Solid Mechanics) from the University of Oxford. During 2000-2001, she was a post-doctoral research assistant at the University of Oxford and the Rolls Royce Aerospace Group (Derby). In 2002, Dr. Manonukul returned to Thailand to work at MTEC. Dr. Manonukul is currently a principal researcher at MTEC and the head of Near -Net-Shape Metal Manufacturing Laboratory. Her research interest focuses on metal forming with an emphasis on powder metallurgy. Her research involves both experimental and modelling work. In 2004, she received a 40 million THB funding from NEDO, Japan to establish a metal injection moulding (MIM) laboratory. Currently, Dr. Manonukul is considered as the only MIM expert in Thailand, who is also recognised aboard. She has been invited by industries to become a technical consultant and carry out research both in Thailand and overseas. Her research works have been published in several peer reviewed international journals in the field of material science and engineering. She has received several national and international awards including L’Oreal “For Women in Science 2008” Fellowship. In addition, Dr. Manonukul was listed among the “2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century” and the Hall of Fame International Biographical Center, Cambridge, U.K. in 2007.
